Egypt Timeshares
An Egypt timeshare places you inside an enormous outdoor museum where ancient structures mesmerize you at every turn. Settled since the dawn of civilization on the northeastern part of the African continent, Egypt offers something for every visitor, from antiquities to beaches and outdoor pursuits.
Iconic Attractions
When visiting your Egypt timeshare, you will no doubt want to see the country’s iconic attractions, such as the world-famous Pyramids of Giza complex, which includes the colossal Sphinx and the Great Pyramid, the oldest and last surviving of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
In the barren hills of southern Egypt, the Valley of the Kings is also a must-see attraction. Tour the ancient tombs that house the remains of many Egyptian pharaohs, including renowned figures like King Tutankhamun and Queen Nefertiti.
Also in southern Egypt is Abu Simbel, an enormous rock complex featuring two twin temples with elaborately carved statues and external reliefs honoring Ramses II and Queen Nefertiti. Hang around until nightfall to see the spectacular light-and-music show reflected on the temples.
Must-Visit Places
Founded by Alexander the Great, Alexandria is a vibrant port city on the Mediterranean coast. Go sightseeing and check out the city’s many ancient landmarks. Explore the impressive Library of Alexandria with its museums and planetarium. Stroll through the Montazah Palace Gardens. Go shopping in the souq district or relax in an outdoor cafe. Soak up the sun on the beach.
Egypt’s capital, Cairo, is a bustling metropolis where you can organize a Nile River cruise and a tour to the Pyramids of Giza while visiting your Egypt timeshare. A must-do here is the Egyptian Museum to see a myriad of ancient artifacts including those from King Tut’s tomb. Sip Arabic coffee in a street bazaar. Take the kids to watch a football game at the International Stadium or see African wildlife at the Cairo Zoo. Hit the bars and discos for live music and dancing.
Many Egypt timeshare resorts can be found in Sharm el-Sheikh, an attractive beach resort on the southern point of the Sinai Peninsula. This fabulous resort town offers palm-fringed, sandy beaches with clear water and coral reefs, presenting an ideal spot snorkeling and diving. Go hiking in the nearby Colored Canyon to see unique landscapes and rock formations.
Outdoor Adventures
Take a boat cruise down the Nile River, one of the world’s longest and most historic rivers. Opt for a felucca, or a traditional wooden sailboat, to float down the majestic river and marvel the changing landscapes with ancient sites dotting the shoreline.
Another great place for a boat cruise is along the world-famous Suez Canal, a man-made waterway linking the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
Climb Mount Sinai for rewarding views and amazing sunsets. Believed to be the biblical site where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God, this mountain is also home to the 6th-century Monastery of St. Catherine.
Lovers of beaches and watersports will want to head to the Red Sea, known for its shallow shelves teeming with corals and marine life. Go swimming, snorkeling, diving, parasailing and water skiing here.
One of the most popular outdoor activities in Egypt, especially among children, is camel riding through the desert. You’ll find many places to organize a camel excursion such as in Luxor at the Nobi’s Arabian Horse Stables.
When to Visit
The overall best time to visit your Egypt timeshare for mild weather, fewer tourists and lower travel rates is during the low shoulder months (March to May and September to November). Summer (June to August) is a good time to visit also but be prepared for hot and muggy weather. Winter (December to February) is the peak travel season when many travelers arrive to sightsee the desert attractions during the most pleasant weather conditions.
