Long Beach Timeshare
The Columbia River separates Southwestern Washington from Oregon, and just north of where this amazing river flows into the Pacific Ocean is the best coastal destination in the Northwest. Long Beach Peninsula stretches for more than 17 miles northward and forms Willapa Bay to the east. On this peninsula are located a number of sandy beaches, marinas, golf courses, Long Beach timeshare resorts and wonderful restaurants.
Visitors to the coastal area of Long Beach, Washington can find plenty of accommodations ranging from manor homes and family-owned inns to larger resort properties. With a Long Beach timeshare, travelers can choose vacation ownership or rent a timeshare for the week or weekend from a current owner.
What to See and Do
Close to both Portland and Seattle, Long Beach Peninsula is easy to get to. Once here, couples, families, or groups of friends will find no end to the exciting outdoor adventures that await. The waves of the Pacific crash onshore at heights of up to 12 feet, so surfing is a major activity here. Kite flying is popular as well thanks to the steady onshore breeze.
At the southern end of the peninsula is an enormous visitor center. It can be the first stop on the vacation tour as it gets the visitor organized to the surroundings. The Long Beach Boardwalk is nearly a mile in length and offers great views of the water and the famous North Head Lighthouse. The sand dunes along the walk are truly amazing, and their shape is always shifting.
Great Biking and Festivals
The Discovery Trail is paved, and it's a hit with bikers. It ends at the northern tip of the peninsula and is lined with interpretive displays and sculptures. All along the western beaches, access points known as beach approaches are clearly marked. The approaches also have signs clearly marked with the latest weather and wind warnings.
Several beach festivals are scheduled annually. These include kite contests, music and dance, and clamming. Bring the bucket and shovels and dig for the famed geoduck clam, the largest shore clam in the world. In spring, enjoy the Mermaid Parade, where mermaids, mermen, landlubbers, and sea creatures of all kind gather to celebrate seashore life and culture.
Where to Stay
The Long Beach peninsula is home to some very fine resort communities. Timeshare suites have fully furnished bedrooms and living rooms, have kitchens and outdoor furniture, and may come with multiple bath areas.
Your Long Beach timeshare beckons you during your favorite time of year. In summer, it's warm and breezy. In winter, the beaches welcome in the enormous swells and breakers of the Pacific. Enjoy a real Northwest adventure by planning a weekend or full week at this popular vacation destination.
