The Marina Ixtapa is the largest marina in Mexico, with two basin areas, capacity for 583 boats (in sizes from 15 feet to 200 feet in length), and 24/7 security. The marina includes a launch ramp for boats of 30 feet or less, potable water, pump out services, showers, restrooms, and laundry service.

Adjacent to the marina, the Marina Ixtapa Náutica Golf Course is a Robert von Hagge, links-style course. Defined by narrow fairways, large bunkers, and undulating greens, the challenging course offers four sets of tees, making it enjoyable for even the average golfer to play. Further south, the Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed Ixtapa Golf Course (Campo de Golf Palma Real Ixtapa) offers a very different golfing experience, with wider fairways, yet strategic challenges, which can occasionally include the presence of crocodiles along the water features.
