Charleston Timeshare
Home to cultural and historic landmarks unique to the history of America, Charleston ranks as one of the top destinations in the south for history lovers. Not only can you tour former plantation homes that date back to before the Civil War, but you can see some of the forts and fields where soldiers on both sides fought. Charleston comes to life when the moon comes out and locals head to their favorite restaurants and clubs. You can easily find a few favorite hot spots of your own when you buy a Charleston timeshare in South Carolina.
With some of the top festivals taking place every month, you can usually find a top event no matter when you visit your Charleston timeshare. The Lowcountry Jazz Festival is so popular that people come from all across the south and from other parts of the country just to hear the jazz musicians playing. If you wait a month and visit Charleston in September rather than August, you can stop by the MOJA Arts Festival. Artists come from all across South Carolina and other states for this festival. Historic house tours are available during every major season and most months. These tours allow you to view some of the city's most beautiful houses and learn about their histories.
More to Do in Charleston
The Boone Hall Plantations and Gardens are worth a visit, but this estate is so gorgeous that you may want to return to check out all the sights. Not far away is the Magnolia Plantations and Gardens, which also has an on-site zoo.
Fans of military history should visit Patriots Point. Located right on the water, it has multiple decommissioned Navy ships on display as well as a military history museum. At the Fort Sumter National Monument, you can pay your respect to the soldiers who once fought here. Other places worth visiting in the city include Waterfront Park and the Old Slave Mart Museum. With the right Charleston timeshare, you can even stay right next to the water and enjoy walking on the beach and fishing or snorkeling on your trip.
When to Visit
You can easily spend a week in Charleston each time you visit. If you choose a timeshare outside of downtown, you may want to spend even more time there. The best time to visit usually includes March through May and then again from September to November. Though you can visit in the summer, you'll notice that the humidity level goes through the roof as the temperature climbs. Winter is much cooler but can bring a lot of rain to the city. Most visitors prefer a Charleston timeshare vacation when the temperature is mild and there aren't as many crowds.
