Ellsworth Timeshare

Located in southeastern Maine not far away from the coast is the small town of Ellsworth. The Telephone Museum and its artifacts dedicated to the history of phones is just one of the attractions that bring visitors to the city. When you plan a trip to Ellsworth, you might want to stick to the late spring and early summer. Winter temperatures can drop below freezing on most days. The town also gets quite a bit of snow, which can leave you in your timeshare as you try to stay warm. With an Ellsworth timeshare, you can also head to town for the Cider and Cheese Festival and the Maine Harvest Festival.

Historic Sites and Places

One of the buildings in Ellsworth listed on the National Register of Historic Places is The Grand. This historic theater dates back to the 1930s and puts on a variety of performances each year. The Black Mansion is also on the National Register and now home to the Woodlawn Museum. Not only can you view the displays dedicated to the family who once owned the estate, but you can tour the grounds that surround the old mansion. Many visitors also hit the Ellsworth Historical Society Building at least once.

Graham Lake and Other Outdoor Attractions

Graham Lake is the best place around Ellsworth to fish. White perch are common in the lake as are pickerel and smallmouth bass. The water drops to depths of 50 feet and is suitable for small boats as well as canoes. There are also several picnic spots nearby. Branch Lake is also a popular spot for those who like fishing and boating. Not far away is Birdsacre, which is a wildlife sanctuary where you can see birds and other animals native to Maine. The on-site homestead offers a detailed look at a local wildlife photographer and some of the photos she took.

Exploring Ellsworth

There are plenty of other things to do in Ellsworth such as the Blueberry Festival. You can pick the fresh fruit on several farms, too. The Great Maine Lumberjack Show is just a short drive away and lets you see lumberjacks as they perform death-defying and exciting acts. If you want to find unique souvenirs or check out local antiques, make time to visit the Big Chicken Barn and the Creamery Antique Mall. Some of the attractions in this town can make you feel like you're stepping back in time when you leave your Ellsworth timeshare.
