My mom and I have vacationed at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos twice and both times we have had a ball! The resort is an oasis with an ocean view that is calming and beautiful. You can lay in a hammock, read a book, take a nap, body board or kayak...the amenities are all there! We rented a kayak one afternoon, which was a sight to see! The food is great with many choices at your finger tips. The staff is so helpful, if you need anything, you've got it! Another luxury is having a kitchen in your room, which my mom and I would often take advantage of in the early mornings eating cereal and fruit on our private balcony gazing at the ocean. We took advantage of many local attractions, like a day cruise and dolphin swim. We also shopped, lazed at the pool, painted pottery, attended a concert at the resort....both our trips were full of highlights. Going into Puerta Vallarta is simple if you want to have an afternoon or evening out. It's a simple bus ride to town (or a taxi if you prefer). I highly recommend this vacation! Especially if you want a special trip with your mom like I did!! Both experiences were times we will fondly remember forever.

After back-to-back years of vacationing at Villa Del Palmar Cabo San Lucas for the holidays (2012 & 2013), decided to try Villa Del Palmar Flamingos near Nuevo Vallarta for a change. All VDP resorts are so beautiful and well-managed, and Flamingos was no different. Lots of activities every day: Theme dinners, dances, Spanish lessons, you name it! You can also choose from any number of boat trips, from high energy "Booze Cruises," to a quiet evening dinner cruises for two. You have the option of going "all inclusive," or you can purchase food on site or at the local market if you're on a budget. All the units come equipped with mini stoves, microwaves, dishes and silverware. All this and more make your vacations at VDP truly like a "home away from home" experience!

I've been to multiple UVC resorts. They are all gorgeous, and have really friendly staff. Flamingos is an especially beautiful resort! We love walking over to the market in the morning for breakfast after working out in the beautiful fitness room. They have multiple restaurants on site that were all delicious. And the cutest little town called Bucerias, is nearby. It's perfect for dining, and they have a lot of neat art in this small beach side town.
