FAQ about the Marriott Grande Vista
Marriott Grande Vista does not have a shuttle to Disney World or any of the theme parks. The resort is about a 15-20 minute drive from the Disney parks and its location on International Drive places it on the route for the local I-ride trolley shuttle service. I-ride is the local shuttle service designed for visitors to travel up and down International Drive to access the shops, restaurants and attractions along I-Drive. SeaWorld is just down the street and ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are available for easy access to local attractions.
Marriott Grande Vista provides free parking to timeshare owners and guests, so owners driving to the resort either with their own transportation or in rental vehicles won’t have to worry about paying for parking at the resort.
The resort is about a 14 mile drive from Orlando International Airport and Marriott Grande Vista does not provide free shuttle service to or from the airport. There are shuttle services operating for a fee that can take you to the resort and the taxi fare is about $40. Ride sharing services are also available, as are all of the major car rental companies at the airport.
Universal Studios is about seven miles from Marriott Grande Vista – and the trip takes about 14 minutes if using Interstate 4. The resort is located on the southern end of International Drive and Marriott does not provide shuttle service to Universal or any of the theme parks. Ride sharing services are available such as Uber and Lyft, and there is also public transportation available but it can take as long as an hour to get to Universal using the public system.
Disney World is about a 15-20 minute drive from Marriott Grande Vista, as the resort is located on International Drive on the opposite side of Interstate 4 from the Disney parks. Ride sharing services are available for those timeshare guests who do not have a vehicle, as the resort does not provide a free shuttle service to the parks. Estimated taxi fare is $15-20 from the resort to the Disney parks.
The resort was built in 1997, with several areas added over time to the original resort complex. The last buildings in the West Village section were completed in 2006 and the resort now consists of 24 buildings along with multiple swimming pools, restaurants, bars, fitness center, recreational areas and a spa which was completed in 2009.
The resort has 1,616 rooms consisting of a selection of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom unit configurations. These home-away-from-home, condo-style units have everything needed for a terrific stay and comfortable respite from the long days at the theme parks.
The larger units feature kitchens to prepare healthy meals and proper dining areas to enjoy those meals, living rooms to relax and spread out, and even balconies to soak in the atmosphere. Flat panel TVs, quality furnishings and the all-important free Wi-Fi make these units a great home base for your Orlando excursions.
Marriott Grande Vista, as with all Marriott Vacation Club resorts, do not allow pets with the exception of service animals.
Disney Springs is about an 18 minute drive from Marriott Grande Vista resort. Keep in mind that the resort does not have shuttle service to the parks, so timeshare owners and guests will need to organize their own transportation.
