Jockey Club

The Jockey Club is considered to be near the center of the Strip - literally about a one minute drive from the traditional center of the Strip at the corner of south Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Rd. Jockey Club on the southern part of the Strip between the Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio on south Las Vegas Boulevard and across the street from Planet Hollywood. From the Jockey Club, head up the Boulevard past icons such as the Eiffel Tower and Bally’s.

Technically the Jockey Club is owned by a combination of timeshare owners and owners who own whole ownership units in the complex. The complex is overseen by a Board of Directors which hired Tricom Management as the management company for the Jockey Club. Tricom oversees the management and operation of the facility.

The Jockey Club has a unique relationship with the neighboring Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino. Of the original 10 acres that the Jockey Club first owned, 1.5 acres are occupied by the Derby and Ascot Towers and the rest is now owned by the Cosmopolitan and its owner, Deutsche Bank.

Numerous upgrades have been made to the Jockey Club over the years, with the most recent round completed in 2012 when all 270 timeshare suites were completely renovated.

When the Cosmopolitan opened, the Jockey Club management was able to secure underground parking for its owners in the new parking garage, along with pool passes at the Cosmopolitan for the pool area and adjoining tennis courts. The Cosmopolitan also features the closest casino to the Jockey Club, but because of its proximity to the Strip the owners have numerous options for restaurants, casinos, shopping and everything that the Strip provides.

Jockey Club Vegas is a timeshare hotel which also consists of whole ownership units. Originally built in 1974, the hotel has undergone numerous renovations to the hotel facilities and the 270 timeshare units. Timeshare owners can either use their week or rent them out, which is why you’ll also see timeshare rentals available for the Jockey Club.

This is truly a home away from home and designed as more of a condo-style accommodation than a typical Vegas resort. Take advantage of the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, free Wi-Fi and the fitness center. Plus, Jockey Club timeshare owners have access to the rooftop pool at the neighboring Cosmopolitan.

The most traveled way to get to the Jockey Club is from the airport since most owners would be flying into Vegas. If you’ve rented a car at the airport, head north on Swenson Street just over 2 miles to Flamingo Road. Take a left turn onto Flamingo Road and proceed to Las Vegas Blvd. Turn left onto Las Vegas Blvd to the Jockey Club, which is on the right.

If you are driving into Las Vegas, take Interstate 15 to exit 38 (Flamingo Rd Exit). Take Flamingo Rd to Las Vegas Blvd South, then turn right and the Jockey Club will be on the right.

Because the Jockey Club is designed as a condo-style, home base accommodation rather than a glitzy Vegas resort, the hotel is a subtle version of its flashy counterparts. The rooms feature space and comfort with living rooms, kitchens, multiple bathrooms in the two-bedroom configurations and everything you need for a respite from all the action of Vegas.

The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, a mini-market for those last minute essentials, laundry facilities and elevator service. Wi-Fi is complimentary and social activities are on the card as well.

Because you’re right in the middle of all the Vegas action, restaurants, shopping and entertainment is close by. The closest casino is at the Cosmopolitan next door, but you’ll have your choice from the nearby Bellagio all the way up the Strip.
