Situated on four thousand-plus acres of peaceful, rural countryside, this vacation ownership retreat offers year-round residential housing, campsites, vacation villas, and the Mirror Lake Inn. This membership/ownership resort is located between Houston and Dallas and features a private airstrip for owners and guests with small aircraft.

Plan a vacation at this Texas vacation retreat and you can name your fun. The resort includes a driving range and an eighteen-hole golf course (nine-hole rates available), tennis courts, and a horse stable with overnight boarding. To help you keep cool, there’s a Texas-size swimming pool that is actually shaped like the state of Texas. Here, Amarillo and El Paso are shallow, but you can always dive into Dallas where the water is deep.

Other on-property fun includes putt-putt golf, disc and frisbee golf, a teen center, and a cluster of lakes, where you can swim, fish, boat, or waterski. Tonkawa Lake is a favorite for swimming and picnics on the shore, Cherokee Lake boasts exceptional fishing for channel cat, blue cat, crappie, bass and bluegill, and Swan Lake is known for its serenity. Mirror and Kickapoo Lakes are popular spots for fishing and boating, however no gas-powered watercraft is permitted on Mirror Lake.

RV Camping at Hilltop Lakes

The Mirror Lake Inn has comfortable, hotel/motel style accommodations, with some units opening onto a private patio area. Every room or suite has a small refrigerator and a microwave. The condo-style accommodations at Hillside Villas are the largest rooms at the resort, provide views of either Mirror or Kickapoo Lakes, have fully-equipped kitchens, and are available as one- or two-bedroom floor plans.

And for vacationers and families who want the camping experience, the Indian Woods Campground is a perfect option. This small campground facility offers thirty-eight recreational vehicle (RV) campsites, all with water, electric, and sewer. A limited number of the sites are “pull throughs”.

For tent campers, twenty campsites are available, most of which are located on the inner circle of the campground. Other campsite amenities include a playground, pavilion, a comfort station with hot showers, and easy access to dumpsters.
