Instead you will have the verdant green of the Irish countryside, vast dark nights defined by millions of twinkling stars, and a silence so pure you will be able to clear your mind in a way that you have perhaps not done in years.

The six thatched roof cottages of Connemara are part of Resort Condominiums International (RCI) timeshare exchange, yet they are also part of a working farm. Available as timeshares are four cottages with three bedrooms and two cottages with two bedrooms. Just outside your cottage door, sheep and cattle graze, and Connemara Ponies wander the hillsides.

• Corrib Cottage is a three-bedroom unit with mountain vistas, a well-equipped kitchen, a living and dining area, two bathrooms, and a peat-burning fireplace. 
• Ben Brack Cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining area, an indoor sauna, and a full kitchen.
• Ben Gower Cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining area with open fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen.
• Mask Cottage is designed to accommodate up to eight people with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sleeper sofa in the living area. The cottage has traditional a peat fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen.
• Agraffard Cottage sits on the hillside and offers three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining area, two bathrooms, and has a wood burning stove.  
• Boffin Cottage is one of the larger cottages, designed to sleep up to eight. It has three bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a living and dining room, central heat, and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

While many units have a sauna, and some have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer combination, the specifics of the timeshare units vary and should be confirmed at the time of booking.
