WorldMark Midway is a little bit of Switzerland in Utah. Midway is a town with a Swiss theme in Wasatch County and is famous for its annual Swiss Days Festival. All the buildings in the town contribute to the Swiss village theme as mandated by the town building code. Just 30 minutes from two world-class ski resorts including Deer Valley Resort that hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.
The WorldMark resort is an excellent place to buy or rent a timeshare for guaranteed first class accommodation in this world-class resort. The suites are two bedroom suites that sleep six. There are suites for people with Special Needs on the ground floor. Most other suites require climbing stairs.
Each unit has Internet access for a fee, a DVD player, a balcony or terrace with a barbecue grill, telephone, washer and dryer and more. The resort amenities include a fitness center and recreation room with movie rental facility. The Resort will arrange for any grocery shopping before the owners or renters arrive. They need to give their list online at least 72 hours before arrival date.
Winter fun includes downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and ice skating. But winter isn’t the only time Midway rocks. There are plenty of summer activities including golf, horseback riding, fishing, boating, Jet skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, mountain biking, trekking and special adventure camps for children. Whether it is winter or summer, guests can enjoy the indoor heated swimming pool and the nearby hot tub.
The Homestead Resort golf course is a par-72 course that is along the Snake Creek Valley. There are four other golf courses in the area where guests can arrange tee times. The Wasatch Mountain State Park is a half mile from the WorldMark resort and offers year-round outdoor recreation. It has a fishing hole that is only for children. Herber Valley Trains offer unique train rides in historic trains including the Chocolate Lovers Train, Magic Train and Day Out with Thomas.
Local attractions include Homestead Crater, which is a geothermal spring at the bottom of a 55 foot tall limestone hole. The Crater took at least 10,000 years to form and the water is heated two miles below the surface of the Earth. The opening at the top of the hole allows light and air to enter the crater. People swim, scuba dive, snorkel or just soak in the warm water. There are tours of this underground wonder for people who would rather not get wet.
Salt Lake City is just 50 miles away and has the closest airport. A few of the annual festivals in Midway are the Sundance Film Festival in January, the Wasatch County Fair in July and August, Swiss Days in September and Small Town Christmas in December. Guests enjoy everything Swiss at WorldMark Midway from chocolate to yodeling. Renting or buying a timeshare offers a fabulous skiing vacation or summer mountain adventure.
