I have been at this resort about 12 times now since 1986. The resort is very well run. There is a club house across the small parking lot with nice indoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tubs and rocket ball court. They also have a large area to just hang out with pocket pool and table tennis. It is supervised during the busier evening hours so a bunch of ill behaved kids or other people can not ruin everyone's enjoyment (a code is needed to get in to limit access). Timber Ridge is up Buffalo Mountain about 2.5 miles so you do have to "drive up" there to get to it, but that makes it secluded and very quiet. If you want the "night life" just go down the hill to Dillon or Silverthorne and you are there. Frisco and Breckenridge are just 20-30 mile into the mountains. Vail about 45 miles.
You are quick access to Keystone Ski resort, which you can see from the balcony plus Breckenridge and Copper mountain each about 20-30 minutes away. The high mountain altitude is always a guaranteed "Rocky Mountain High".
