Although it’s an ideal spot to park your camper or RV, you can’t really call vacationing at the Preferred RV Resort a camping trip. This Pahrump, Nevada, recreational vehicle park is located next door to the Pahrump Nugget casino, perfect for live table gaming, slots, dining, bowling, bingo, and comedy and music shows.
Pahrump is approximately 65 miles west of Las Vegas, only minutes from the California state line.
The Preferred Recreational Vehicle Resort is a non-profit owners association, in which memberships are secured by a deeded fractional interest. Although new memberships occasionally can be purchased at the resort’s current full price (through the owners association), your best deal will be competitively priced, resale memberships bought on the secondary market.
Regardless of whether a membership was purchased directly from the resort or was bought in the resale marketplace, all member/owners who are current on their annual dues are entitled to thirty-five days of camping during which they pay only the nightly utility fee. And additional nights, beyond the first thirty-five are available at a deeply discounted nightly rate.
For couples, families, and friends who like vacationing in their travel trailer or recreational vehicle, the Preferred RV Resort and Campground offers 270 full hookup campsites, more than 100 of which are designed as a pull-thru. Every site is spacious, has partial shade, and provides either 30 or 50 AMP electrical service. The park has shower and laundry facilities, and the peace-of-mind that comes with a 24/7 secured front gate.
Cabin rentals are also available, each with a private bedroom with queen bed, a sleeper sofa in the living area, a fully equipped kitchen, cable television, linens, and dishes. Cabins sleep up to four, although inflatable mattresses can be used to accommodate additional guests.
On-property features and amenities at the campground and RV park include an indoor spa (hot tub), a 60 x 30 heated pool with retractable enclosure for year-round swimming, water aerobics, and pool volleyball. Other features include a billiards table, playground, picnic tables and a barbeque area, a craft center, a woodworking shop, an exercise room with treadmills, stationery bikes, and free weights, and a wide selection of planned group activities, tournaments, and social events.
