For winter sports fun there are numerous ski slopes near this Festiva timeshare property, including Sugar Mountain at Sugarloaf Ski and Golf Resort and Hawksnest Resort. Located only a few miles from Festiva’s Blue Ridge Village resort, Sugar Mountain is the largest ski destination in North Carolina and features a 1200-foot vertical rise, with its longest run being one and a half miles. Hawksnest Resort is also a popular spot for winter fun with 20 lanes for snow tubing, ranging from 400 to 1000 feet in length. In summer months, Hawksnest Resort turns from tube slides to zip lining with over 20 zip lines (the longest zip line tour on the East Coast) including four mega zips.
