Pick any resort in the Diamond US collection, or check out Diamond's other listings on the Diamond International website. If you have enough points for the size and date you want, then pack your bags and start travelling. Or, your points can be used with Interval International (II). Both have cruise options!!
With Diamond, you can carry points forward one year to increase your travel power. For example: Save period 1 is 01-Jan to 30-Jun where you may save up to 100% of your current points allocation to the following year. Save Period 2 is 01-Jul to 31-Aug where you may save up to 50% of your current points allocation. Save Period 3 is 01-Sep to 31-Oct where you may save up to 25% of your current year's points allocation. Points cannot be saved after 31-Oct and any points that are not utilized by the end of the use term (31-Dec) will expire.
You can also go thru their own Xchange program where you can create some tiers of points and use within 5 years. With 11,500 points, you can get 2 or 3 weeks a year - depends mostly on where and when you want to go and how many bedrooms you need. For a small up front cost, and the annual maintenance fee think about being able to vacation for 3 weeks in 3 different locations. Plan ahead and you could end up with a week in Virginia Beach, a week in Hilton Head and a week in Orlando.
Use points to go to places in Europe. It can be a bit more difficult to get places, so I suggest that in this case, book your place first, then plan your vacation around the booking rather than book the flight, then try to find a place.
Points can also be 'traded' on their website for airline points- currently, you can get points with American, Southwest, Hawaiian, Virgin, Frontier and United. There is a fee to do this. You can use your points to get hotel stays (thru their own website or Interval International). You can also get discounts on some shopping. Depending on your 'status' level as to how many points can be used to discount the regular prices.
